MemoMind asks for permission to read your recordings and memories and to save new memories. You can revoke access in MemoMind at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

Once authorized, it can

  • Search your recordings by keyword or plain language across meetings, conversations, and voice notes
  • Read the full content: transcripts, summaries, key points, and to-dos, plus line-by-line text with timestamps and speakers
  • Play the original audio through a temporary link that expires within an hour
  • Build daily briefs and weekly reviews from the day's or week's recordings, to-dos, and memories
  • Prep you for meetings by bundling past discussions, related decisions, and open to-dos on a topic
  • Trace a topic through a timeline of related discussions
  • Manage long-term memories: save, update, or delete them at your request, and flag whether they're accurate or outdated

  • Edit or delete your recordings
  • Access your account settings or password

  • See anyone else's data — every call returns only your own content
  • Send anything around your approval setting — emails and messages follow the approval mode you choose in MemoMind's AI settings

These are the capabilities of AI assistants connected over MCP (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Codex, and others). Tanka connects through the open API to read your recording list and content and sync them to your Tanka account.

Authorization and privacy

You stay in control

You authorize through OAuth — your password is never handed to the AI assistant. Revoke access anytime in MemoMind's account settings, effective immediately, or remove the connector in your AI assistant.

Content goes to the AI provider you choose

Once authorized, the recordings your AI retrieves are sent to the AI assistant you use and its model provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Tanka) for processing — and they may include what other people said to you. Think twice before connecting sensitive meetings.

Recordings aren't treated as instructions

Results are clearly labeled as “user data, not instructions”, lowering the risk that words in a recording get mistaken for commands.

Only your own recordings

Your AI can only reach processed recordings in your own account, and it retrieves them on demand — never everything at once. Tanka is the exception: once authorized, it syncs your recordings to your Tanka account.

FAQ

The connection failed. What now?

Check that the address is https://mcp.memoring.ai/mcp (ending in /mcp). If it says your authorization expired, disconnect in your AI assistant and connect again.

Do I need to re-authorize often?

No. Access credentials rotate automatically, but the connection itself stays in place.

How do I disconnect?

Revoke access in MemoMind's account settings — it takes effect immediately — or delete MemoMind from your AI assistant's connector settings.
